In the world of self-hypnosis, there are some very real techniques that can be used to encourage oneself to exercise. It is an established fact that hypnosis helps to create new ideas and to visualize things. This has obvious health benefits, but there is a great deal of potential in using this tool to help encourage oneself to take control over certain aspects of life. This is especially important when it comes to losing weight.

It seems that most people who have self-hypnosis recordings on their CDs or MP3s are more inclined to listen to them when exercising. The reason for this is that the subconscious mind is more easily influenced by something that is being continually played. If you were to play a fitness-related hypnosis recording for an extended period of time, especially one that was motivational, you would find that your body would begin to get into the mindset of exercising.

Using Self Hypnosis to Encourage One to Exercise

A good self-hypnosis CD should not just have the sound for relaxation purposes; it should also have messages that encourage you to exercise. By using self-hypnosis to help motivate you to exercise you will find that your results will be much greater than if you just focused on doing it. You will find that you are more motivated to work out when you have something like a self-hypnosis recording that encourages you. It is almost like having another set of eyes watching over you while you try to work out. It can be very helpful.

One thing that you need to remember if you want to encourage yourself to exercise is that you need to find a motivating environment. Editor Note: The quickest way I found to change the mind at a moment’s notice is to use Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique).  You can do that for around 4 minutes and your mind is much geared toward exercise.  Please note you may have to do it a few times for the habit to stick.  My words tosay during taping is to call out what I want to get rid off and in this case I would simply say – this feeling of not wanting to exercise. The author in this video has her own method.
